These home accessories mimmic the allure of sculpted stone to bring natural elements to new technologies.

Satellite

This minimal light is a collaboration between industrial designer Quentin de Coster and Van Den Weghe, one of the world’s finest stonemasons. Satellite is an LED bulb slotted seamlessly inside a cylindrical tube of solid marble. The 30cm-tall lamp, available in black or white stone, was created to highlight the qualities of marble as a material, and the “harmony that emanates from the connection of basic cylinders”. £650

Vanilla marble iPad skin

Roger Stillman

No rock was harmed in the making of this photorealistic, vanilla-veined decal from gadget-wrap specialists Uniqfind. The use of a precise laser-cutting process means the skin is designed to perfectly fit every iPad model. This ensures the Apple logo, lens and home button stay revealed. The skin is finished off with a gold-foil stamp. There are matching versions available for the brand’s phones and laptops. $24.99

Bordolese

Roger Stillman

Studio Lievito injects a feeling of playfulness into its quirky, industrial-inspired designs. Nowhere is this better illustrated than with Bordolese, a sculpted lump of solid white Carrara marble hiding a wooden rolling pin inside. Designed to represent a glass bottle, traditionally used in lieu of a rolling pin, the combination of elegant silhouette and practical application is a thing of beauty. £575

Native Union dock

Roger Stillman

Compatible with all Apple Watch models and sizes, Native Union’s solid-marble smartwatch stand has a brushed-metal rotating arm. This mechanism houses Apple’s magnetic charging cable (not included), so you can position the watch on either side. The dock’s adaptable design also means it’s possible to charge your watch horizontally, as well as vertically – useful for fans of Nightstand mode, which turns your Apple Watch into a bedside alarm clock. £130

Riviera low table

Roger Stillman

On the face of it, each Riviera table is made from three pieces of Carrara marble, but look closer and you’ll find the corners all have a different radius. Although they look virtually identical, the way they interlock with the other pieces is unique. Designer Alfredo Häberli ensured the tables are flat-packed, but we suspect assembly will still be a two-person job. £1,078

Ovo by Andrea Maldifassi

Roger Stillman

Based in Puglia, Italy, Monitillo Marmi has been pioneering natural-stone-processing techniques for decades. Although it typically creates custom interiors, the company’s recent collaboration with designer Andrea Maldifassi and May Day Design resulted in this elegant natural amplifier. Made from a single piece of hollowed-out, hand-finished white Carrara marble, Ovo fits iPhones 5 and 6. A distinctly analogue solution to a very digital problem. £258
