The puchase of Tribune Media by Sinclair Broadcast Group, announced earlier this month, is not one of the biggest media deals in recent history, but it does say a lot about the value of sports programming.
Think sports content. Tribune has the rights to some Chicago Cubs and New York Yankees telecasts and the deal will give Sinclair more than 200 stations after the deal.
